Dr. Keltgen grew up in Olivia, MN. She completed the prerequisites for optometry school at University of Minnesota-Morris. From there, she attended Indiana University School of Optometry, where she was involved in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, participated and presented research to advance glaucoma detection and management, graduated with honors and was awarded her Doctorate of Optometry.
Dr. Keltgen has enjoyed providing comprehensive eye care in the Twin Cities metro area since the summer of 2011. Her special interests include primary care, ocular disease, pediatric care and the relationship between ocular and systemic health.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, her husband, Mitch, and pet cats, Sigmund and Wittaker. She also enjoys exercising, dining out, reading and has a special interest in fitness and nutrition.
Rachel, Office Manager
Rachel has been in the optical field since 2012, and has worked alongside Dr. Keltgen since 2015. With her education in business management and background in retail fashion, she keeps the office running smoothly and can help you find the perfect pair of glasses.
When she's not at work, Rachel enjoys fitness, cooking & baking, but most importantly, playing with her puppy, Queso! Born and raised in the Twin Cities, she loves to travel. She's been coast to coast, and her list of new places to explore is endless.
Mitch, Business Manager
Mitch has an extensive background in retail, industrial sales and marketing. He handles the business and marketing aspect of the practice, but don't be surprised if he is up front helping you pick out glasses or bringing you back to be pre-tested before your eye exam.
Mitch graduated from Ridgewater College with an Agri-Business Management degree and Indiana University Bloomington with an Associates in Business Marketing Management from the Kelley School of Business.
Mitch and Dr. Keltgen are high school sweethearts. They met at a football game in Olivia, MN and have been an inseparable duo ever since. He enjoys driving his Seek Eye Care sponsored racecar, traveling, riding his motorcycle, sport shooting, and working on his 1931 Model A Ford he inherited from his Grandpa Sid.
Haley, Optometric Technician
Haley grew up in Carver County, cultivating a love for walking trails and lakes at a young age!
Since adopting her Australian Shepherd, (who has two different colored eyes like Torte!) Remy in 2020, she enjoys traveling all over Minnesota looking for new off-leash parks and trails to hike.
Some other things Haley enjoys include; spending time with family, kayaking, riding motorcycles, refurbishing furniture/house projects, and expanding her hair styling portfolio for special occasions!
Haley has always had a passion for helping others. She really grasped her love for meeting new people and volunteering to help those both in, and outside of her community when she moved to Hutchinson to attend High School at a boarding school with students from all over the world! She first started working in the Optometric field in 2017, and has absolutely loved continuing learning about and working in Eye Care ever since!
Torte, Office Dog/Company Morale Manager
Torte is a rescue all the way from Alabama that Doctor Keltgen and Mitch adopted in February of 2020. They found her through an organization called Warrior Dog Rescue.
Torte is in training to become E.S.A. certified in order help our patients enjoy their experience here at Seek Eye Care a little better.
One unique thing you will notice when you meet her is she has one blue eye and one brown eye. This is called Heterochromia, which is a genetic mutation that is purely cosmetic. She has great vision, Dr. Keltgen checked!
Torte's favorite hobbies are coming to Seek everyday to work (first order of business each day is to go say HI to Rachel), playing fetch in the hallway, and of course getting all the belly rubs.
Jackie, Former Optician
On November 7, 2019 we lost our dear friend and coworker, Jackie Hintze, to her battle with cancer.
Jackie was the sweetest soul, and anyone who had the fortune of meeting her knew just how special she was. It was truly a pleasure to have worked with her, and she is missed by all.
